Tasting - Bogle Vineyards Essential Red
Hi everyone!
GUESS WHAT! I did my first wine tasting last night! If I do say so myself... it went pretty well. I had some friends join in on the fun, and they loved it as much as I do. I think wine tasting is our new hobby... I could get use to this! Now, let's get down to business.
Variety: Red Blend
Region: Clarksburg, California
Country: United States
Year: 2014
Price: $11.99
Winery Review: The juicy, jammy fruit is framed with spicy cedar and hints of pipe tobacco and cocoa as the American oak lingers through the aging of 12 long months. Luscious from start to finish, this wine is easy to drink, but impossible to forget.
My Review: I was pleasantly surprised with this wine! I tasted some light red fruit as well as a hint of cedar. It was smooth, much less of a punch than I was expecting after the smell of pipe tobacco that had lingered. It tasted strongly of cocoa that was mentioned above. I tasted this wine on it's own with no food. I would absolutely drink this wine again!
